Managing Pages

Pages are used for static content on the Cleveland Auto Show website, such as “About Us,” “Contact,” or other informational sections. To ensure proper display on the frontend, follow these key guidelines:

Creating or Editing a Page

Add or Edit a Page:

  1. Navigate to Pages from the left-hand menu.
  2. Click Add New to create a page, or click on an existing page title to edit it.

Enter a Title

Every page must have a title. The title is prominently displayed on the frontend and used for navigation links.

Set a Featured Image:

  1. Navigate to the Featured Image panel on the right-hand side.
  2. Upload or select an image that represents the page. This image is critical for design consistency and may appear in headers or layouts.

    Add Content:

    1. Use the block editor to add and structure content. The theme supports native blocks, custom ACF blocks, and predefined patterns.
    2. Be consistent with block usage to maintain design harmony.

    Use Predefined Patterns (Optional):

    1. Click the + Block Inserter on the top-left corner.
    2. Under Patterns, select predefined layouts to ensure pages align with the overall design.

    Publish or Update:

Once your changes are complete, click Publish (for new pages) or Update (for edits).

    Important Notes

    • Pages without a title or featured image will not display correctly in some parts of the site, such as navigation or homepage sections.
    • The layout and design of each page are driven by block patterns. Avoid making extensive changes that could break the design.

    Best Practices

    • Use concise and relevant titles for easy navigation.
    • Select high-quality, properly sized images for featured images to ensure the website looks professional.
    • For consistency, reuse patterns where applicable.
