Managing Events (Custom Post Type)
The Events Custom Post Type (CPT) allows you to manage event details that are dynamically displayed on the website using a custom block. Here’s how to work with it effectively

Adding a New Event
- Navigate to Events:
- From the left-hand menu, select Events > Add New Event.

- Enter Event Title:
- Add a clear and descriptive title for the event (e.g., “Nissan Thrill Street”).
- Fill Event Details: Event Schedule Section:
- Event Date: Set the date of the event.
- Activity Start/End: Specify the start and end times for the event’s activity.
- Activity Description: Provide a brief description of what attendees can expect.
- Days of Week Section:
- Select the days this event will occur (e.g., “Saturday” or “Sunday”).
- Featured Image:
- Set a relevant featured image for the event. This image will be used in blocks or listings.
- Publish the Event:
- Once all fields are filled, click Publish to make the event live on the website.
Editing an Event
- To update an existing event, navigate to Events > All Events, find the event, and click on its title.
- Make your changes and click Update to save.
Linking Events to the Custom Block
The Event Schedule Block dynamically pulls data from the Events CPT to display event details on the frontend.

How to Add the Block:
- Go to the Page or Pattern Editor where the event schedule is displayed.
- Search for the Event Schedule Block under Patterns or Blocks.
- Insert it into the desired section of the page.
- The block will automatically pull event data (title, dates, times, and descriptions) without requiring manual input.
Notes and Best Practices
- Always set a featured image and ensure the title is accurate, as this content is key for both SEO and frontend design.
- Test the Event Schedule Block after adding or updating events to confirm the frontend displays correctly.
